Frequently asked questions

Why does Marangu have a lower summit success rate?

The traditional 5-day Marangu profile gives less acclimatisation time. Our 6-day version adds an acclimatisation day at Horombo, which significantly improves success rates.

Are the huts private?

No — Marangu huts are shared dormitory bunks with other trekkers. Bring a sleeping bag.
